Amid all the chaos happening outside, Kendrick Lamar managed to perform at Hot 97's Summer Jam concert in New Jersey yesterday. During his set he did To Pimp a Butterfly cuts "The Blacker the Berry", "King Kunta", and "Hood Politics" for the first tim livee. You can watch a video of the performance after the jump, via Hot 97. Schoolboy Q also came out to do "Collard Greens" and "Studio."

With winter finally on its way out and summer just a few more months away Hot 97 is beginning to reveal the acts that will be scheduled to perform at their annual Summer Jam festival. B.o.B, Joey Bada$$, Travi$ Scott, DeJ Loaf, and Teyana Taylor have just been announced to play at the festival, which is taking place Sunday, June 7 at the Metlife Stadium in New Jersey. Be sure to peep the announcement video after the jump which will, of course, include a number of surprise guests for Sunday's big show.

Legendary comedian Chris Rock is certainly no stranger to hip-hop. The South Carolina born, Brooklyn raised comedian has published a list on his website documenting his 25 favorite rap albums, cowrote and starred in the 1993 film CB4 which parodies gangsta rap, appeared on rap songs by Ludacris, Ol' Dirty Bastard, and Ice Cube, and in the past has even criticized contemporary rap. But perhaps Chris Rock's hip-hop pinnacle was reached in 2010 when he appeared on Kanye West's now magnum opus album My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy. Rock was asked by 'Ye to appear on the song "Blame Game," in which Rock provided an extended monologue. So maybe Rock is a little bit biased when he recently called Kanye's My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy as the "greatest hip-hop album of all-time" in a HOT 97 interview.
