West Coast MC Xzibit will put the X back in the X-Files when the TV series hits the big screen next year. X will share screen time with veteran actress Amanda Peet and Scottish comedian Bill Connolly.
Chris Carter will direct the thriller, which is billed as a stand-alone story, not a continuation of the 1998 feature adaptation. 20th Century Fox is keeping the film’s details under wraps for now, but word has it that X to the Z will be playing an FBI agent in the film.
Xzibit recently signed on to appear with Bruce Willis and Woody Harrelson in Oliver Stone’s Pinkville, but production on that film was suspended because of the Hollywood writers’ strike.
