This might be even better than the original.

Young Thug elated fans with his well-received EP, On The Rvn, on September 24th. Home to the long-teased, and often-pondered, “High”, which features interpolations of Elton John’s iconic “Rocket Man”, On The Rvn is another apt example of Young Thug’s poly-textured artistry and willingness to conquer any sonic frontier. While Elton is far from the project’s lone featured artist–he’s joined by Jaden Smith, 6lack, and T-Shyne–another guest was supposed to make the cut, but didn’t due to timing: Migos’ Offset.

Originally supposed to be on the EP’s eponymous and lead track, Thug released his project without the Offset feature to quell the album’s delays–it was originally supposed to drop on September 11th after Thug’s September 9th announcement. But if Kanye has taught us anything, it’s that art doesn’t have to be fixed–it can be fluid, much like the artist’s mind.

Today, Thug has updated On The Rvn to include the Offset’s presence, allowing the track to be enjoyed the way Thugger intended. Using his staple serrated vocal styling, Offset melts into the London On Da Track beat, complementing Thug rather than stepping on anyone’s toes.
