The Washington Post did a really interesting story on how 50 Cent’s infamous Vitamin Water deal went down. I found it interesting since we live in a world where the commodity of music is being monetized is drastically different ways. I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again. The ability for an artist to sell music, is less important than the ability of an artist to sell a tangible product. This is an excerpt from The Big Payback: The History of the Business of Hip-Hop, by Dan Charnas, which looks dope. Definitely threw it on the X-Mas list.
