At a press conference earlier today, Hov announced that he will be preforming two shows at NYC’s Carnegie Hall on February 6th and 7th in order to raise money for his charity, The Shawn Carter Scholarship Foundation. Jigga joins the likes of MC Lyte and Lauryn Hill as one of the few hip-hop acts to grace the stage of the legendary venue, and he had this to say about the upcoming performance:
“It’s every artists dream to play a venue as legendary as Carnegie Hall. The fact that I can use the arts and my talent to benefit the education of the next generation of artists, entrepreneurs, and great thinkers makes for a legendary night. I’m proud to be a part of the continuing work of United Way of New York City and expanding the Shawn Carter Scholarship Foundation.”
Tickets will go on sale privately on December 12 and limited public tickets will be available on January 30th at 11 a.m. Good luck trying to get those.
