In mid April, Kanye West captivated the music world with a powerful tweet: the announcement of his first solo album in over two years, and an additional one, dropping one week later, with frequent collaborator and former GOOD Music signee, Kid Cudi. Last week, Kanye made good on his first promise with the polarizing release of ye, and this Friday, we get the promised follow-up, Kids See Ghosts.
With palpable hype already surrounding the release for obvious reasons, that hype just received a jumpstart with the release of the album’s artwork, illustrated by famed artist Takashi Murakami. The mind behind Ye’s Graduation cover, Murakami is a legendary Japanese artist known for his imaginative, vibrant imagery. The Kids See Ghosts cover is no exception.
