This is interesting.  There is now a greater worldwide demand for synthetic drugs like methamphetamine & ecstacy as opposed to “natural” drugs like cocaine and heroin.  However, I also recently covered how the rise of synthetic drug abuse often leads to people abusing cheaper “natural” drugs.  According to BBC:

The United Nations says the use of synthetic illegal drugs such as ecstasy and methamphetamine has overtaken cocaine and heroin.
