Sure, Diddy has a history of going against the grain, but his new commercial for Unforgivable for Women has been deemed to hot to be shown on TV. The ad depicts Combs getting freaky with model/actress Jessica Gomez in a stairwell and then in a hotel room. Makes for good soft-porn content on Crack TV, but the big shots at MTV shot down the commercial for being too racy.
So far, Diddy has declined to edit the TV spot. You may recall that Diddy ran into a similar roadblock last year when his ads for the Unforgivable cologne were deemed too hot for print and billboards.

If you know anything about R&B teen sensation Chris Brown, you may have noticed his Michael Jackson influence. Brown, who stole the show at the recently concluded MTV Video Music Awards, has earned the adoration of his idol. Jackson released a statement, according to Access Hollywood, saying that he enjoyed Brown’s performance.
“Chris is a bright and shining star whom I enjoy watching perform,” Jackson said. “I am happy to have had a positive influence on him.” Brown did a brief spot on MJ’s “Billie Jean.”
“Nobody likes to be reminded that they’re getting older,” said Justin Timberlake of the 18 year-old singer’s VMA performance. “And whatever Chris Brown just did reminded me of how I’m getting older—cause damn. It’s just exciting to see.”
On a related note, Chris Brown has been picked by Music Choice as Artist of the Month. His new album, Exclusive, is slated to hit shelves on November 6.

Even though the official Soundscan reports don’t come in until next week, according to several sources, Kanye West’s album “Graduation,” could be the number one album on the charts next week. Based on early retail reports, industry website, Hitsdailydouble.com, is predicting that Kanye will sell more than 700,000 albums and 50 following close behind at 550,000 albums for their first week.
At Amazon.com, “Graduation”, is currently the top-selling album with “Curtis” at the #3 position behind Kenny Chesney’s “Just Who I Am: Poets & Pirates.” Amazon even has a graphic showing who’s selling more on their Rap/Hip-Hop section on the site AMAZON . In a Los Angeles Times report, Kanye’s album is also outselling 50’s album at all Newbury Comic stores and at Amoeba Music in Hollywood. But don’t expect 50 Cent to retire, he told MTV News back in August he’s not really going to stop making solo albums if Kanye outsells him. 50 Cent also has been putting it out there that if he loses, it’ll be because Def Jam will go out and buy 200,000 copies of Kanye’s album this week.
Both of the rappers appeared on BET’s 106 & Park yesterday and performed select songs from their albums.

Citizen for Change Inc. is championing a protest dubbed “Enough is Enough” stop the portrayal of negative images of African-Americans in the entertainment industry. The “Enough is Enough” campaign will hold a rally at the Washington DC residence of BET CEO Debra L. Lee on Saturday, September 15th, at 1:00 pm.
According to the group’s Web site, enoghisenoughcampaign.com, the purpose of the campaign is to “protest the commercialization and marketing of negative and derogatory images of black men and women in the entertainment industry.”
“The movement recognizes the power of media and entertainment corporations to shape American attitudes, opinions, behaviors, and even policies by and about people of color,” said Pastor Delman L. Coates, Ph.D., the campaign organizer. “Music companies do not equitably apply standards of obscenity for music that is offensive to blacks as for other groups.”
The organization plans to hold weekly demonstrations every Saturday.

Keyshia and Jeezy Call It a Day
Well she does. Aww poor Snowman..turns out his girl for the last couple of years got cold feet over the thought of marriage..not sure if that is marriage in general or marriage to Jeezy…I am sure BET are pissed as they would be hoping to make some reality ‘hood’ special out of that wedding for real.
Jays Girls Together
I am sure this pic is going to sit prominently on the CEO desk…NOT. But for real why do these chicks go out of their way to let us think they like each other when we know they don’t. Maybe Beyonce likes to prove her point that she still is the hottest chick in the game and a forehead can’t take that away from her…or maybe Rihanna likes to make her squirm..knowing that she wont say no to a pic as that wouldn’t be good for the image.

Last week a bootleg recording of an August 31 Roots show in Turin, New York featured The Roots band bidding farewell to bass player Leonard ‘Hub’ Hubbard, leaving fans wondering ‘what’s up?’ Roots drummer ?uestlove officially announced Hub’s departure from the group, after 17 years, on Okayplayer.com.
“Let me end all speculation ladies and gentlemen and officially announce that yes indeed Hub played his last show as a member of The Roots on August 31st of this year,” ?uest wrote on the site homepage. “One has to understand off the bat to be a member of this group is to sacrifice your life. If you look at it (and this is applies to most of the artists that you talk about on this site) there is nothing "normal" about our lives. This isn’t a pity party. Nor an explanation. Just a confirmation. I understand that most of you are a little miffed that you weren’t given the option to say ‘goodbye’. Truth is Hub really didn’t want to make a big deal about this. Which is probably why we defied him anyway and had a "moment" onstage which got quite emotional after his last solo. We got about 16 bottles of bubbly and tried to have a 2 fish/5 loafs of bread distribution to the crowd so that we could properly send him off. I say we use this moment and opportunity to raise our cyber glass and toast Hub in his new endeavors.”
The Roots are gearing up to launch the VH1 Hip-Hop Honors tour with Big Daddy Kane and MC Lyte and have enlisted musicians Tuba Gooding Jr. and Owen Biddle to fill-in/replace Hub.

Even though she supposed to be working on her long-awaited album, Jennifer Hudson has been cast in the upcoming “Sex & The City” movie. J-Hud will play the assistant to Sarah Jessica Parker’s Carrie Bradshaw, as the film follows the main characters four years after the HBO show ended. Hudson is also slated to appear in the upcoming film “Winged Creatures” alongside Forest Whitaker and Kate Beckinsale, and she’s being considered to play Aretha Franklin in the biopic “Aretha Franklin: From These Roots.”
There isn’t much info on her new album, except that it’s supposed to drop in November. In an interview with Fashion Rocks! Magazine, she made it known there won’t be any hip-hop on the album, even though T-Pain is slated to make an appearance somewhere.

Yeah we know the excuses are gonna come rolling in for the pop tart after her performance (can I even call it that) at the MTV awards. Word on the street was Britney was necking Ecstasy with Sean Combs and Dallas Austin..I mean come on we all know DA is like a walking pharmaceutical counter so why would Britney even camp out with them when she is trying to get her life back on track? So maybe the word about Diddy scoring some E on a street corner in Ibizia are true after all.
