By: Rizoh Former basketball star Dennis Rodman has stepped on the wrong side of the law again. The Orange County police department is investigating reports that Rodman, who once claimed to have slept with over 2000 women, smacked a female bar hopper’s rear so hard it left a mark. The incident took place at Hennessy’s Tavern in Dana Point, according to TMZ. The woman has accused the former NBA star of sexual battery. Rodman’s lawyer contends that the matter is one of “money extortion” and expressed optimism that the case will work out in the favor of his client.

By Quibian Salazar-Moreno Authorities who are investigating abuse and neglect allegations at DMX’s home in Phoenix, Arizona dug up carcasses of dead dogs and found disturbing evidence. Although cause of death is unknown, authorities found serious bite wounds on one of the dog carcasses, with serious trauma to the abdomen of another body. Another dog was burnt so badly that an exam was inconclusive. Last month, DMX’s home was raided after a neighbor complained of the treatment of the dogs at the home. They seized 12 live pit bulls, numerous weapons, and about a quarter-ounce of marijuana in a bedroom. DMX’s lawyer said that the rapper hadn’t been there in months and was paying a caretaker and vets to take care of his property and his dogs. "How do you attribute activities to a person who has not been there, when they have knowledge that other persons have been," X’x lawyer, Murray Richman told the Associated Press. "Is it because of the celebrity nature?"

By: Hot Gossip Gal People in high places and people who just know their history are a lil mad that Luda failed to omit the N word when performing Money Maker on stage at a recent concert for the Martin Luther King Memorial in DC. Known fact that MLK spent many years trying to omit the N word from people’s vocabularies. Should Luda have bit his tongue?
By: Rizoh Masked MC/producer MF Doom is rumored to be hospitalized for an undisclosed illness. Doom’s absence from the recently held New York-Tokyo Music Festival, for which he was slated to perform, as well as recent allegations that he’s been using doubles at live shows prompted several questions about the rapper’s well being. Though Doom’s label, Rhymesayers Entertainment, is yet to issue a formal announcement, concertgoers at the New York-Tokyo Music Festival were told the rapper couldn’t make it because he had been hospitalized. Doom was accused of deceit by his fans after he enlisted a double to pose as him and lip-synch at one of his concerts.
By: Rizoh Last month we reported that Lil Wayne was facing a $1 million-lawsuit from a woman who allegedly sustained various injuries at Weezy’s now infamous Morgan State University concert. Yet another female fan has filed a suit against the New Orleans rapper, claiming she was injured during the money-throwing incident at the same show. Carlisa Dixon, who filed the complaint, alleges that she was impaled on a metal pole as the crowd scrambled to collect money that was being thrown at the crowd by Lil Wayne’s camp. She also claims that her injury required surgical procedures and is seeking 1 million dollars from Lil Wayne and the university as a result. Earlier in August, a woman named Tyrique Layne filed a suit against Wayne, alleging she was trampled during the money throwing incident at the same concert.
By: Hot Gossip Gal To be or not to be? I mean this is the first I have heard about this, but we gotta give it a mention. I mean does Trick Daddy go with the profile for a G Unit member? I guess we just have to wait and see on this one really.
By Quibian Salazar-Moreno Since the beef is pretty much old now, Dr. Dre finally got to share his thoughts on the whole fiasco from a couple of years ago. In an interview in the upcoming issue of GQ obtained by MTV News, Dr. Dre said that he tried to stay out of the squabble and didn’t want to talk about it to the media. "It was definitely a conscious thing," Dre said of his decision to not talk about the beef. "This is something that’s between labelmates. I’ve said, ‘When you guys are ready to make some music, let’s get down. Let’s get in the studio.’ All that other stuff, that’s not for me. This is something they created, so it’s something they have to handle. I don’t feel like I have to choose a side." According to MTV News, Dre also revealed in the GQ interview that, at the request of Interscope Chairman Jimmy Iovine, he once asked Game not to dis 50 during a New York show. "I knew that this one wasn’t gonna go away," he said. "I know these guys, and I know nobody is gonna back down." So that’s probably why The Game kicked off Aftermath/Interscope Records and sent over to Geffen Records.
By Quibian Salazar-Moreno The Game rolled over to New York yesterday to answer to charges of impersonating a police officer. The Manhattan Criminal Court seemed to be a fan though, as he ordered an adjournment “in anticipation of dismissal”, ONLY if the rapper stayed out of trouble for the next six months according to TMZ.com. Sounds like a good deal! The rapper was arrested in November 2006 in New York after jumping into a cab and telling the driver that he was an undercover cop. He ordered the driver to run red lights, until they were pulled over by the NYPD. The cab driver spilled the beans and told the officers that he thought the game was cop, that’s why he was racing through the streets. The game has a weapons case pending in California as well, but won’t affect his case in New York.
By: Rizoh After pleading guilty to one count of weapon possession, Snoop Dogg has been instructed to carry out 160 hours of community service in addition to three-year probation. The west coast veteran was also ordered to make a $10,000 charitable donation by the court in Santa Ana, California. Snoop was arrested at the John Wayne Airport last year after he tried to board a plane with a collapsible baton in his computer bag. Airport authorities, who didn’t buy Snoop’s story that the baton was a prop in a music video he was due to film in New York, told him the baton was considered a dangerous weapon. Earlier in the year, Snoop pled no contest to a separate set of charges for weapon and drug possession. That particular case earned him 800 hours of community service and a 5 year probation.
By: Rizoh ODB once said hip-hop is for the kids. Legendary music producer Prince Paul is now working on making that a reality. Paul is in the studio putting finishing touches on Baby Loves Hip-Hop, his contribution to the popular children’s music series that includes Baby Loves Disco and Baby Loves Rock. Paul, who’s testing out some of the music on his 4-year old daughter, says his aim is to make a hip-hop record that’s age-appropriate but not corny. “It’s for kids, and young kids, like your 3-year-olds,” he said in an interview with Newsday. “And those are intensive learning stages for children. What we’re trying to do is teach them things, like counting and colors, and at the same time make the whole thing cool.” For more information, check out BABY LOVES MUSIC.
