Once again, Dr. Andrew Schiller scientifically compiled a list of the most dangerous neighborhoods in America, and the results are surprising to say the least.  The West Lake Street neighborhood in Chicago snagged the number one spot in the country, with 297 violent crimes committed annually.  Statistically speaking, you have a 1 in 4 chance of getting your chain snatched if step in this neighborhood.   In fact there have been 27 violent crimes in this neighborhood in the past 7 days; no wonder the Century Tower is no longer deemed ‘Skyline Century of Progress.’

Big ups to the stick up kids in the ATL area – you have a record 4 placements on this list.  Not surprisingly Las Vegas is pretty high up there.  I say “not surprisingly” because when you stumble out of a casino wasted a 4 in the morning, you should have a sign hanging from your neck reading, “mark.”  Why can’t the East Coast get more representation on this list?  Damn gentrification…

Check out the whole list of America’s Most Dangerous Cities.
