With the New Year finally under way, we’re starting to see a lot more new releases. The 2011 Grammy Nominations compilation features Hip Hop acts such as B.o.B, Eminem, and Cee-Lo. It’s interesting to note that the album’s sales were primarily physical, which I can only assume means the purchasers were 40+ and trying to stay relevant. I was perplexed by the number of units shown for Paul Wall’s latest effort, but I was informed that it was released on a small Minneapolis label, Oarfin Records, and it does not appear on iTunes. A press release states Politics As Usual is a “collection of freestyles.”
