And Blue Chips 7000 is finally dropping this Friday.
After multiple album delays, Action Bronson’s Blue Chips 7000 is finally coming out this Friday. Since his March 2015 Mr. Wonderful release, Action has been busier on the small screen with such ventures as F*ck That’s Delicious and Traveling the Stars: Action Bronson and Friends Watch ‘Ancient Aliens’, than in music. But now, the time has come—introducing, it’s Bronsolino.
With three singles already released from Blue Chips 7000 (“Durag vs. Headband”, “Let Me Breathe”, and “The Chairman’s Intent”), the aesthetic seems like it will follow vintage Action: crazy, weird, hilarious, and musical. Now, we’ve received single no. four, “9-24-7000” featuring the boss himself, Rick Ross.
Spitting in his slow yet authoritative style over a subtle, serene Harry Fraud production, Action makes eccentric references (like talking about sweeping someone off their feet like Street Fighter’s Ryu) while asserting his unmistakable presence. Rick Ross perfectly complements the song’s smooth styling by discussing his boss lifestyle, female conquests, and more. With no hook, this track really lets Action and Ross shine—and we’re thankful for that.
