There’s a new female rapper in town. Harlem native, Azealia Banks announced that she has inked a deal with Universal Music. Much of her popularity is attributed to her record, “212″
California and New York link up. A$ton Matthews (who reps Lakewood, CA) is teaming up with Harlem's Bodega BAMZ for "Window Paint," produced by Jordan Granados. Both Matthews and BAMZ have projects out so be sure to check those out if you're interested. And check out the track "Window Paint" after the jump.
So apparently, A$AP Rocky, who was riding around London had an object hurrled at his car. This prompted Rocky and crew to follow the alleged assailant into a bagel shop and confront him. Rocky, who is from Harlem, put on his best Harlem tough guy pose and went at the guy, giving him a ear full, and threatened to put hands on him. Rocky cooled off and walked away. However, the man (or men?) in the bagel shop had some choice words for Rocky as well. The title of the video, by the way, is "ASAP Rocky Running Gums in London" so clearly the people in that bagel shop weren't exactly "cool" with the A$AP Mob all-star. Check out the full video of the confrontation after the jump.
Harlem's Bodega Bamz is set to drop his latest project Sidewalk Exec on April 14th (which you may preorder via iTunes here) and to prepare fans for his long-awaited return to rap Bamz is sharing "Billy Bats" off of the project. Listen after the jump.
In case you haven't heard, The Diplomats are back. The return of OG Dipset members Jim Jones, Freekey Zeeky, and Juelz Santana together so far has been promising with the Harlem squadron dropping the awesome "Have My Money" loosie and now a gloomy, aggressive, and downright murderous freestyle over The Notorious B.I.G.'s "Victory." Many have interpreted the lyrics as shots at JAY Z and his website, Life + Times. Listen to The Diplomats' "Victory" freestyle after the jump.
