The New York super collective is back.
Back in 2013, the rising powers of New York hip-hop — Pro Era, The Underachievers, and Flatbush Zombies — converged to create Beast Coast. With each leg of the burgeoning musical tripod containing respectively eclectic talents, like Joey Bada$$ of Pro Era and Erick The Architect of Flatbush, the supergroup seemed poised to claim the Empire State. And while they toured together and collaborated musically, realizing their potential began trending more mythical than inevitable.
Fast-forward six-years, and their gritty symphonic seedlings are finally beginning to bear the fruits that we knew they were capable of: Beast Coast has come through with their new single, “Left Hand.”
Featuring Joey Bada$$, Meechy Darko, Zombie Juice, Erick Arc Elliott, Kirk Knight, Nyck Caution, CJ Fly, AK, and Issa Gold, “Left Hand” is a sound microcosm of their diverse talents distilling on wax. And while fans have received Beast Coast tracks in the past, this one is different–it’s been accompanied by an official album announcement from Flatbush’s Meechy Darko, “BEAST COAST ALBUM ON THE WAY JU HEARDDDDD.”
Until that day comes to fruition, we have the new “Left Hand” to tide us over.
