Beef squashed, fire freestyle born.

Joyner Lucas and Tory Lanez provided one of the more entertaining 2018 tangential narratives with their blow-for-blow rap “beef.” A friendly feud that birthed a collection of sparring tracks — like Lanez’s freestyle over Eminem and Joyner’s “Lucky You” and returned favor from Lucas with the freestyle over Tory’s “Litty Again” — the two made their mutual respect clear from the jump.

Today, they’ve taken that admiration to a new level by, in true freestyle spirit, linking on their “Suge” Freestyle, originally by DaBaby.

Going bar-for-bar, the “Suge” Freestyle is, ironically, a contentious peace treaty; the two have clearly settled “differences” enough to collaborate, but not enough to stifle their desire to win — they are, after all, still competitive MCs. The product, however, is consistent with the slew of freestyle derived from their 2018 beef in that it recruits each rapper’s best self.
