Christina Aguilera hasn’t put out a project in six-years, but when she announces that she’s making a musical return, people listen. Recently announced that she will be issuing an R&B/hip-hop album, Aguilera is expecting to release Liberation on June 15th.
While it’s easy to classify something as hip-hop, the musical content needs to meet a certain threshold in order to be categorized as such. There needs to be lyrics, flow, rhythm, and, of course, dope production. Well, it seems like Christina will have that in spades, as the man, the myth, the legend, Kanye West and Anderson .Paak will be supplying her with instrumentals.
Late yesterday, she released the album’s lead single, “Accelerate, featuring Ty Dolla $ign and 2 Chainz, and can be listened to below:
