This new EP deserves your attention.
Los Angeles-based super producer, Diplo, has been a fixture in the EDM scene for some time now. Known for using his creativity and astute ear to propel the genre forward, Diplo is a transcendent musician whose abilities translate to different musical landscape–namely, hip-hop. On his recently released EP, California, the 39-year-old producer enlists a diverse featured artist list, complete with some of the game’s biggest names.
Coming in at six-tracks, 19-minutes, California showcases some of the most in-demand young artists, including: Trippie Redd, Lil Xan, Lil Yachty, Desiigner, DRAM, and Goldlink. Artists like Trippe, Xan, and Yachty are born out of the same “SoundCloud” generation, while DRAM and Goldlink are regarded as less internet-born entities, and are heralded as more traditional artists. No matter how they got to where they are, they all show-up on Diplo’s California.
