Does Jadakiss Contradict Himself In New AIDS Awareness Video?

So I’m cruising the internets and I came across this video of Jadakiss going to Swaziland, a small land locked nation within South Africa.  To make a long story short the AIDS pandemic is so rampant there that the country is in danger of losing it’s own population to the disease.  According to Swaziland’s Wiki:

Swaziland is critically affected by the HIV and AIDS pandemic, which is now an existential threat to its society. As reported in the 2009 CIA World Factbook, Swaziland has the highest HIV infection rate in the world (26% of all adults; more in other reports) and also the lowest life expectancy at 32 years, which is 6 years lower than the next lowest average of Angola. From another perspective, the last available World Health Organization data in 2002 shows that 61% of all deaths in the country were caused by HIV/AIDS.[9] With a record crude death rate of 30 per 1000, this means that about 2% of the Swazi population dies from HIV every year.

So Jada got invited by the royal family to do an AIDS benefit show.  Obviously that is slightly commendable, but did he still get a check?  Too be honest, I don’t even care about that.  My point is that this video is supposed to zoom in on a health epidemic occurring in Africa right now.  However, I didn’t even hear Jada mention the word AIDS in this video once.  I heard him talk about flying first class.  I heard him talk about doing it big in Beamers and Ranges in a third world nation.  I heard him brag about the official security in suits.  I saw the videographer show off the nice hotel or presidential palace they were staying at.

It just seems contradictory to be gloating about living it up in a country that is obviously struggling.  Especially when you transition these instances of gloating with facts of how much the country is struggling.

I don’t want to throw Jada completley under the bus.  I get the vibe one of his homies just cut this up this footage like an amateur, and threw it on the internet.  That being said it’s on Jada to surround himself with people who properly represent him and his ideals.  Jada was probably just enjoying the fruits of his labor.  He is just a street dude from Yonkers whose words were impactful enough on people to get him across the globe.  Jada should find glory in that.  What he shouldn’t do is allow the people around him to highlight that glory in the same video that is trying to create awareness of the AIDS epidemic in Swaziland.

  1. Damn Sam your first good post!!! I was thinking the same thing. I'm hoping that the next couple parts are more informative.

  2. You do prove a point but they can also be just showing the trip to this country??? Have you thought about that, he's just showing the love between swaziland. Just cause this clip doesn't show him or audio him talking about it doesn't mean he contradicts himself?!
