Five Years Later, Still No Trial Date for R. Kelly

      R. Kelly has released six best-selling albums since being charged with child pornography five years ago for alleged sexual acts with a teenager. Yet, there’s no trial date in sight for the Pied Piper of R&B. A case of appendicitis and a series of strange turn of events (like a judge falling off a ladder) have helped delay Kelly’s trial for a long time. He’s due in a Chicago courtroom Friday for yet another status hearing, as he prepares to release his new album, Double Up, on May 29.
