According to the DX, Get On Down Records has announced that they are indeed releasing five jigsaw puzzles of 1980’s Hip Hop Albums! Exciting! The five albums are: Boogie Down Productions’ Criminal Minded, Biz Markie’s Biz Never Sleeps, Kool G Rap & DJ Polo’s Live & Let Die, Masta Ace & The Inc.’s Sittin’ On Chrome and Just-Ice’s Back To The Old School. That’s much more exciting than putting together a picture of daisies!

This month Ol’ Dirty Bastard’s deluxe edition of Return To The 36 Chambers and this edition features more than just a puzzle! It also contains wallet, poster, bonus CD and a laminated welfare card from the cover. For more information, check out this website.

New Music: Ghostface Killah – “The Battlefield” Feat. Kool G Rap & AZ

A week back Ghostface Killah announced his forthcoming album 36 Seasons (his thirteenth full length album to date), which will be dropping December 9th. With that Pretty Toney shared the first single, “Love Don’t Live Here No More”. The second single, "The Battlefield", however, is more on the gritty side featuring NYC all-stars Kool G Rap and AZ. It's worth noting that in addition to "The Battlefield" AZ will be appearing on four more tracks on 36 Seasons. Listen after the jump!

Here's a welcome collaboration: Kool G Rap and Guilty Simpson. When you look at the two rappers, on paper, this collaboration makes all the perfect sense. You've got a legend in the game in G Rap, who has put out hardcore hip-hop classics (Road to the Riches, Wanted: Dead or Alive, Live and Let Die) and Guilty Simpson, a gruff and tough Detroit rapper with all the sensibilities that make for a master ghetto storyteller. Pinning G Rap and Guilty Simpson together is a match made in heaven and their track "Chess Never Checkers" is a solid cut in this potential canon. Listen after the jump.
