Ice-T launches Rap School for VH1

      Even though Ice-T is now more known for his acting than his rapping career, he’s still an O.G. and a bunch of 7^th and 8^th graders are getting firsthand rapping lessons in the new VH1 series, “Ice-T’s Rap School.”

      The difference is that these kids go to Manhattan’s upscale York Prep and don’t know much about the foundation of hip-hop and the culture it was created in. Ice will also teach them how to rhyme, timing, scratching and b-boying (break dancing). The kids will then record their songs, take a final exam on what they learned and audition to open up for Public Enemy at B.B. King’s in New York.

      A sneak preview of the show will air on Tuesday October 17 after the 3^rd Annual VH1 Hip-Hop Honors, which is also hosted by Ice-T. On Friday October 20, “Ice-T’s Rap School” will premiere with two back-to-back episodes.
