Mike StylezzTech N9ne`s latest 6’s & 7’s album has sold over 55,000 units leading to one of his biggest opening weeks. This is quite an accomplishment for one of the most slept on rappers in the game right now. Its also huge because he`s indie.
When asked by MTV about joining a major his response was quite interesting.
“They’ve already been calling, since last year or the year before. They’ve already been calling and asking us questions and stuff,” Tech said referring to the majors. “I think Strange Music will be the major this year or next year. It’s looking that way…You might wanna ask [my business partner] Travis this question [of joining a major]. He’ll probably say it’ll have to be around $900 million or something [to sign a deal]. We’re good.” (MTV)
900 million is a ridiculous amount but I see what hes saying, he`s been grinding so long and doing his thing that it wouldnt make sense for him to just Lebron it and jump ship to a major.
