Two side to hip-hop’s coin unite.

Part of hip-hop’s beauty exists in its disparity. While, on average, it adheres to certain principles that make hip-hop hip-hop, subgenres have spawned over the course of its gestation, leading to incongruent disciplines. From conscious articulators to artists intelligibly celebrating trap tropes, hip-hop is a malleable ball of clay that is molded by various hands. And while these varying subgenres typically live in different zip codes, that doesn’t mean that they are mutually exclusive. Supporting this point, Jay Rock, a hardened rhymer who lucidly discusses his harrowing adolescence and environment, and Rich The Kid, a swag rapper with a loose command of the english language, have joined forces on the remix to Jay’s Redemption track, “Rotation 112th”.
