Who knew that people took out copyright licenses on hand signs? Well, Jay-Z- didn’t and now he’s paying up for it. Former pro wrestler Diamond Dallas Page copyrighted his hand gesture called the “Diamond Cutter”, way back in the 90’s. Jay-Z used the same hand gesture, probably not knowing it was copyrighted, in most of his videos and on the cover of the “Roc La Familia” album, as well as t-shirts. Page filed a lawsuit against Jay-Z and Roc-A-Wear for copyright and trademark infringement.

Both Jay-Z and Page settled the lawsuit late last month, with Jigga man handing down an unspecified amount of cash to the wrestler. Page subsequently dropped the lawsuit after Hov passed him the check. There’s no word if Jay will no longer use the hand gesture.

  1. Thats fucked up for real jigga man. Let him have the diamond, you dont need to do shit with those hands other than slap that bitch. Dallas musta been broke as shit to need to pull that one. Im sure jay probably owns some shit that could ruin dudes career anway.

  2. Dallas diamond wasn’t the first to start throwing up the Diamond sign so why is he suing Jay if that’s the case then the Delta’s should be suing Diamond Dallas

  3. Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. look out! “Diamond” Dallas Page is looking for a payday if you use the Delta hand sign….

  4. atleast he aint fuking minors like punk ass r kelly. and people still buying his shit. and he try to sue jay. fuk em all. its time for another streets is watching!
