Soon come?

Back in 2018, an unofficial version for a new Playboi Carti x Lil Uzi Vert collaboration, “Big Bank,” surfaced. As the story typically goes, the unofficial version was deleted, fans were left mourning this loss. And while Carti’s Whole Lotta Red’s whereabouts remain unknown, some potentially positive news regarding this joint track has come forth.

Earlier, a fan tweeted at Lil Uzi Vert, asking, “Baby Pluto would we ever hear this masterpiece??” While he didn’t offer a definitive answer, Baby Pluto did retweet the snippet for fans to see.

Thankfully, Lil Uzi Vert has emerged from hiding to deliver not one, but two new albums in back-to-back weeks. Yes, the incredibly elusive Eternal Atake album and its immediate successor, LUV vs. The World 2, finally hit streaming services, but Uzi’s partner-in-crime, Playboi Carti, has remained incognito.

Carti Stans — including Uzi himself — have been clamoring for his return; these cries have fallen on deaf ears.

After striking gold on “Magnolia” and “wokeuplikethis*” — two cuts from Carti’s eponymous project — it was later revealed that two have a wealth of unreleased recordings in the stash — somewhere in the hundreds range.

Hopefully, the official version of this track will materialize. With the wait for Whole Lotta Red reaching insufferable heights, the fans need this collab. Will Carti answer the call? Only time will tell.
