Lil Uzi Vert’s “P2” Gets The Slowed, Reverb Treatment

“XO Tour Llif3” keeps breeding new life.

On Friday March 13th, Lil Uzi Vert opened the floodgates to his abyss of a catalogue. Beginning with elating fans by dropping the elusive Eternal Atake, he dovetailed this by dropping its deluxe counterpart, LUV vs. The World 2, the following Friday (March 20th). Now, with over 30 new songs released into the ether, DJs and producers are getting their hands on the revamped library. Recently, a YouTube account by the name of GOBLiN JAE released a slowed, reverb version of “P2” — the sequel to Uzi’s massive hit, “XO Tour Llif3.”

Spitting at a molasses pace, the remixed “P2” makes it sound like Uzi is desperately trying to escape a suffocating pit of quicksand. The warped sonics and progressions make Uzi — the alien figure who’s already been masquerading as a human — appear to be from outside this world.

Thanks to Lil Uzi’s unique, malleable voice, the reverb version of “P2” adds another endearing layer to an already successful song.

With so much new Uzi music to unpack, expect more remixes and alternate versions dropping in the near future.
