While Lil Wayne’s living large behind bars, his manager Cortez Bryant informed SPIN Magazine that the highly-anticipated next installment of Wayne’s Carter series will be completely comprised of post-prison recordings. According to Bryant, there was a plethora of material recorded before Wayne’s March sentencing which was intended to be released for The Carter IV. However these tracks will now be featured on Lil Wayne’s forthcoming album, I Am Not A Human Being, scheduled to drop September 27th. Byrant told SPIN last Friday, “I know once [Wayne] got out [of jail] those songs would be so old to him,” so “he’s going to probably start from scratch” once he gets out of Riker’s on November 5th. In addition, DJ Drama announced that Wayne will begin work on Dedication IV once he’s out of jail. Cortez Bryant went on to state that fans should expect The Carter IV in stores next year, but considering that The Carter III was pushed back 300 times, we’ll probably get it right in time for the world’s end in 2012 sometime in the next couple of years. I can only imagine what songs will drop once Weezy gets home and slips into some sizzurp-induced studio sessions.
