Suge Banned From Compton

City officials asked a judge to ban members of the Mob Piru street gang from being able to congregate in a neighborhood of Compton – and asked that the order include Marion “Suge” Knight.

The co-founder of Death Row Records was one of 200 people the officials said were members of Mob Piru. The injunction would ban them from congregating, carrying guns, drinking alcohol in public or staying out past 10 p.m.

Knight called the injunction a “publicity stunt.”

“This is crazy,” Knight told the Los Angeles Times in Thursday’s editions. “I’m a 42-year-old businessman, not a gang member. I don’t even live in Compton anymore.”

  1. First of all everyone who knows their ihstory should know that he does not own Death Row. He is just a bodyguard who got promoted. The real guy who owns the record label (I’m not going to say his name) is doing 60 years right now. The genltemen was a big time drug dealer to the whole midwest and parts of the east coast. He had a lot of different ventures and he wanted to start a record label but no one in their right mind would do business with him so his lawyer helped him and they put his bodyguard out there as the labels owner, because no one knew him. When he gets out of jail Suge has a lot of explaining to do. I mean he pretty much swandered all of the money the record company generated.
