Meek Mill should be dropping his highly-anticipated long-gestating Dreams Worth More Than Money album this year but he's sharing a track that's going to be, well, poppin' in the clubs this summer. Meek is sharing his Rico Richie produced cut "Poppin'" featuring French Montana and Chris Brown. Check it out after the jump.
Huge W for hip-hop here! Read more after the jump.
Free Offset. That's all. I can pretty much end the writeup there. But, because I'm no lazy journalist (dedication!) I'll go ahead and give you some background info. Offset, 1/3 of Migos, is currently incarcerated (yes, again) for a probation violation. While he's locked up Migos continue to tour and wait for the inevitable release of Offset. In the meantime the whole QC team is sharing "Work" featuring ATLien Jeezy -- even though Jeezy has been beefing with Atlanta's de facto Trap God, Gucci Mane, who as you know is cool with Migos. Anyway, this is "Work" and remember: Free Offset! Listen after the jump.
Last night in Brooklyn, Run the Jewels played a show as part of Northside Festival. During their set, they brought out Nas to do his classic "Made You Look." It's not the first time the Mass Appeal founder has come out to a Run the Jewels event; he performed his new track "The Season" at the RTJ2 release party. Check out the footage of Nas during Run the Jewels after the jump.
Vince Staples will be dropping his highly-anticipated debut album Summertime '06 on Def Jam on June 30th. And we've already been treated to some fresh ish with "Senorita" (backed up by excellent production and a killer Future sample.) But now we're getting some bonus material here with "Get Paid" featuring Desi Mo. Other guest appearances on Summertime '06 include Jhené Aiko, Joey Fatts, A$ton Matthews, Snoh Aalegra, Kilo Kish, DJ Dahi, and more. Check out "Get Paid" after the jump.
Insert sad face emoji here. I miss old Project Pat. What the hell happened to Pat-ah? Has he lost it? Where's the help from successful young brother Juicy J? Pat-ah has been churning out some of the worst "slappers" in recent memory (more like knee slappers, am I right) I remember this dude used to drop straight heat. Yes, that was back in the late 90s-early 2000s, but still! Here Pat is teaming up with one of the hottest, buzzing rappers out in the game, Fetty Wap for "Rollin' Drank." There's also some dude named Big Trill. Yep. Check out "Rollin' Drank" after the jump... if you wish.
Vince Staples is not only one of the best young rap talents emerging right now but he's also a confident young man with great viewpoints. Lat night Staples made an appearance on "The Nightly Show with Larry Wilmore", sitting in on a panel alongside comedians Mark Yard and Gina Yashere. They discussed whether or not they'd vote for an unmarried presidential candidate, and if there's a prejudice against single people. "Most of the people in my generation who want to get married aren't allowed to get married," Staples pointed out. Also, Staples' album Summertime '06 is out June 30 via Blacksmith/Artium/Def Jam. Check out the video after the jump.
In case you don't know who L-Dro is then that's A-ok because Jadakiss and Beanie Sigel are here to put this track over. "The Life We Live" features both Kiss and Beans and their verses are both top notch here. While the track belongs to L-Dro, both Kiss and Beans go ham on the track. While Beans may perhaps be past his prime, don't write the rapper off. Check out "The Life We Live" after the jump.
Ugh, by the looks of it Andy Milonakis will never leave rap music alone. Here, the comedian (because calling him a rapper would be an insult to the culture) links up with the always exciting and unpredictable, Chief Keef. This is the first we've heard from Keef in a while and judging from this lame collaboration I hope that his next outing is better than this one. Check out Chief Keef and Andy Milonakis' "Runnin'" after the jump.
