Tech N9ne And Lil Wayne Talk Darwinism At Riker’s

When Funkmaster Flex conducted a phone interview with Lil Wayne from Riker’s Island last August, Flex asked Weezy who he’d like to work with once he’s released from prison.  In his response, Wayne only dropped two; Andre 3000 and Tech N9ne.  While this may surprise a lot of people, it really doesn’t surprise me.  Tech N9ne has worked with just about everybody from Roger Troutman to Eminem.  On top of that, he’s moved a million plus units, which is quite a feat for anyone these days, but even more impressive for Tech because he did it all independently.

.

On September 9th, Tech made his way into Riker’s Island to have a face-to-face meeting with Wayne concerning future collaborations.    Tech told XXL that the prison meeting was the first opportunity that he had to meet Weezy and that he couldn’t have been happier with the way it went.   In his interview Tech told XXL, it was wonderful to see and to hear that we were on the same sh*t spiritually…we talked about creationism and Darwinism.”  He went on to tell an anecdote about Wayne’s new spiritual advisor, a 79 year-old inmate at Riker’s.  At this point, I was waiting for Tech to tell us that Wayne converted to Islam.

.

Tech N9ne continued, saying, “we talked about Kanye, we talked about Wacka Flacka, we talked about Nicki Minaj.”  I wonder what was said especially considering Tech went on to comment that all of their conversations “ended with laughter.”

.

In what may possibly be the most interesting part of Tech’s story, he stated, “you can only get an hour or two [to visit in Riker’s] and we were there for like three and a half hours.”  This just solidifies the barrage of allegations against Weezy for receiving special treatment in the behind bars.  Tech closed his account of meeting Wayne stating that Wayne reached out to him to work on The Carter IV and he’s unquestionably onboard.
