-I don’t really like it when Drake gets sucked into doing tracks with Birdman, and even Wayne to a certain extent. Ever since Drizzy has “blown” up he seems to be drifting away from his sophisticated roots. He has always rapped about “ballin” or whatever, but he did it with a certain amount of humility. There was an undertone that although he was dropping all this money on Champagne or whatever stunt-like activities, Drake would acknowledge how useless it was in the grand scheme of life. I thought that characteristic was going to allow him to make timeless music. But tracks like this are just transparently trying to get radio spins and ringtone sales.

–Juelz made a song called “I Wanna Bone”. What do you think its about?

-For those who still aren’t familiar with Johnny Polygon he a pretty unique rapper who is originally from Oklahoma, but now resides in LA. I really like his shit, but he may not be for everyone. If you like what you hear be sure to cop his Group Hug EP.

-Before its all said and done Paul Wall is going to hop on this “Houston” track.

–Yo Gotti has always been a really dope southern artist, but he just seems to be getting that acknowledgment nationally. I was a big fan of his first album Back 2 Da Basics which was pretty slept on.
