Please let this be true.
Back in 2016, ScHoolboy Q released quite possibly his greatest body of work to date: Blank Face LP. Complete with the hit single “THat Part” featuring Kanye West and introspective cuts like “Neva Change”, this album proved that a gangster rapper could find as much comfort in describing his harrowing adolescent stories as he could in a unique soundscape. It truly was an ideal pairing of progressive music and cathartic storytelling. But it’s been two-years since this triumphant release. It’s time for new ScHoolboy Q.

Q has talked about the album in some detail during various interviews, including his sit down with Zane Lowe where he described that this project would be more about Q’s post gangster life–the story about how he’s a devoted, loving father, a contributing citizen. It will hopefully reveal a different layer of the multifaceted ScHoolboy. Now, it seems like this fabled released has just become a bit more concrete, as Top has confirmed that the album is “90-95% done.”
