Waka Flocka Reads Books?

Waka has to be one of the most entertaining people in the history of hip-hop.  However, I think I’m starting to figure him out.  I think that the guy is legitimately a smart dude.  He just articulates himself like a functional retard.  Be sure to check my interview with him if you haven’t yet.  In this clip Waka goes in on the importance of Niccolò Machiavelli‘s writings.  You can’t make this stuff up!

New Music: Waka Flocka – “Workin'”

I was worried for a second there. Waka Flocka Flame -- the once unassuming weed carrer (or shooter) in Gucci Mane's 1017 Brick Squad camp -- released his debut album Flockaveli five years ago and has been dropping turds since. He was supposed to come out with the second installment, like, ten times already. But, sadly, it's constantly pushed back. (Maybe with good reason?) Everything that was going to be on Flockaveli 2 was scrapped and now we're getting this new track called "Workin'" which sounds like classic Waka. Basically that means I am happily satisfied. This track is too turnt up, hence the title.  Waka Flocka is consistently building a rep as a rapper who's truly on the forefront of the sound-merger between Hip-Hop and EDM.  In the past few months, we have seem him collaborate with producers who have made a name for themselves in this space such as Steve Aoki and Girl Talk.  Now, Waka has linked up with Flosstradamus for a track that will find its home on the 22 Jump Street soundtrack.

in case you consume rap in music form, or have things like a job or an education, you may have missed the EPIC TWITTER RANT gucci mane used to light up the night skies. it was a phenomenal display of poetry. a comma-heavy and error-prone testimony. a cry for help. a laugh -- out loud. no one knows what caused the designer-named rapper (street alias 'guwop') to go in on his peers, but something seemed amiss from the start. rather than parse the details, we boiled this down to its bone and gristle for the uninformed. enjoy!
