Last week, Wu-Tang Clan announced that they would be cancelling their scheduled fall outing in November and December. According to Wu-Tang’s website, the tour has been rescheduled to start in Spring 2008. There’s no reason why, but Ghostface is continuing his tour through to November 21.
Wu-Tang also announced that their anticipated album, “8 Diagrams,” has been pushed back to December 11. It was originally pushed back to December 4, the same day that Ghostface’s album, “The Big Dough Rehab” is dropping. Ghostface wasn’t happy about that release date, seeing that it competes with his new album, and he let MTV News know about it.
"I got on some of them," Ghostface told MTV of his participation in recording tracks for "8 Diagrams." "A few of them. … N—as better pay my f—ing money. Matter of fact, they can keep the money–just get me out of their life right now. They can keep that money, it’s all good now. I don’t even wanna talk about it no more. I had December 4 for the longest. But the Wu album, brothers was kinda late on doing whatever they were doing and pushed it back … on my date. … I’m not [mad at] all the members. It’s not based on the members, but the hierarchy at Wu-Tang Clan is on some bullsh–. They trying to f— around and make me push my album back and doing all this." 1. come on ghost, u my nig but the world is ready for the collective..ur the only one really whos been keepin the wu alive real talk..but the game need u niggas to bring us bak to the glory days!! u should hold your shit bak then slingshot after that, then the nexxt member and so on…

  2. I agree with mlrichtown on this one. Ghost my man, but he coulda let the collective come first and then off the back of that come with his. I understand where he coming from in a way though as 4th quarter releases are a big deal nowadays and a lot of big releases are coming out then and he don’t wanna get lost in all that, but if the release is dope which I’m sure it will be then the brother got nothing to worry about.

  3. I agree with Ghost, every body is lookin’ at it from a third party point of view. Real talk if that was any one of you & your album, you would do the same thing. Think about it! They had enough time to get prepared & do everything they had to in order to meet deadlines, but they didn’t. Hell yeah I would be mad, cause not only did you mess up the collective creativity, know your f*ckin with Ghost solo Sh*t! Think about it!!!
