Grape_ApeSo, we all know that Yeezy likes to think of himself as quite the fashionista. We’ve seen him collab with Louis Vuitton to make sneakers, collab with Nike to make some more sneakers, and who could forget those very reasonably priced scarves? He was still making statements as recently as last night, when he showed up at the 2011 CFDA Fashion Awards in Stubbs and Wootton slippers (yet another brand that he has wanted to collaborate with on a design).
However, we all know that the fashion world is a bit of a b*tch, and no one knows this better than Yeezy. Especially after he was denied entry/not invited to several Paris Week Fashion Shows this year. So you gotta keep branding more designer fashion stuff, and you know, prove you know your Vivienne Westwood from your Giorgio Armani. So his contribution are some George Condo/Kanye West shirts that are now going to be available via Karmaloop. The shirts feature similar designs to his scarf collection, as they are both based on the ‘Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy’ artwork. However the tees retail at about $36 which is a hell of a lot better than the $364 price tag that came with those silk scarves. Swag swag swag! But Yeezy knows you gotta keep it upscale to get back on that Louis Vuitton guest list. So, still determined to get his revenge on France, he is apparently living in Paris and working on a high end fashion line for men and women which will reportedly be presented in September 2011 for the 2012 Spring/Summer season.
