Dropping this Friday, November 22nd.
This past February, YNW Melly was locked up on murder charges. While maintaining innocence, Melly has ironically managed to leverage this imprisonment for increased awareness. With the spotlight shining on him behind bars, the “Murder On My Mind” artist has taken this distinct opportunity to capitalize on his situation by annoucning his new album, Melly Vs. Melvin, will be dropping this Friday, November 22nd.
The official successor to his previous 2019 album, We All Shine, the new Melly project will arrive at a very curious time for the 20-year-old artist, as lyrics have been used against him, and others, in court. It’s unclear exactly what kind of subject matter he will explore on this project, but given his past and the album’s title, it’s a relatively founded conclusion that he will dive into his mental state and legal situation.
It’s imminence was announced on his Instagram yesterday (November 18th).

Melly blew up on the scene over the past couple of years thanks to hit tracks, like “Murder On My Mind” and the Kanye West-assisted We All Shine track, “Mixed Personalities” — a single that ostensibly serves an overture for his compromised psyche to be explored on Melly Vs. Melvin.
Be sure to tune-in Friday to hear what YNW Melly has to say on Melly Vs. Melvin.
