The new music train keeps rolling.
This past weekend continued Friday’s new music motif with releases from NBA YoungBoy & PnB Rock, Nessly with Yung Bans & Killy, and Hoodrich Pablo Juan.
YoungBoy and PnB Rock came through with their new track and video, “Scenes.” Combining their distinct yet complementary styles, “Scenes” marks the two’s first solo collaboration; they were both featured on A Boogie’s 2017 track “Beast Mode” — a cut from The Bigger Artist. Given their undeniable chemistry, “Scenes” confirms what “Beast Mode” suggested: these guys can put a hit together.
The next ensemble release comes from a unique collection of artists in Nessly, Yung Bans, and the Canadian sensation, Killy, on “Freezing Cold.” Bound by their respective means of cornering the “new wave” sound, “Freezing Cold” is a deft distillation of their abilities without stepping on each other’s toes.
Last up, we have “Slang Dope” from Hoodrich Pablo Juan. A new single from his upcoming BLO project, “Slang Dope” continues to paint Hoodrich in an auspicious light, suggesting a very bright future for the 1017 artist.
