So Sway kind of sets Ja Rule up with a question about a excerpt from Prodigy’s book about an alleged robbery.  However, I don’t really care about that.  I thought Ja had a valid point about the difficulties of coming from nothing and suddenly having everything.  The pressures that can put on your personal relationships.  Never really thought about it like that.

Make no mistake, Tinashe is a burgeoning star in today's music industry. But she's also a burgeoning star with a wide range of talents. Don't believe me? Well, on top of being one of the best (and dare I say underrated) contemporary R&B singer-songwriters, she can also hold her own when it comes to this rap thing, too. Don't believe me? Tinashe recently stopped by Sway in the Morning to discuss her tour with Nicki Minaj and Katy Perry in Latin America, but was eventually put on the spot by Sway himself to deliver a freestyle. New Music: Ja Rule Shares a Pair of Tracks in “New York Giant” & “Nah!!”

Going away to jail is no laughing matter. Getting out and not being able to readjust yourself back into society is even worse. Ja Rule, the once famed early 2000s New York rapper, has been in and out of the system quite extensively over the last decade -- he's been hit with a gun charge back in 2007. As just when things were looking up, in 2011, Ja Rule received an additional 28-month prison sentence for tax evasion. Good news is he's been out since 2013 (see: pic above) and it's nice to see/hear he's in good health. Unfortunately the music he's putting out could definitely use some jailhouse-like dicipline, for lack of a better word. He's sharing a pair of new tracks here, in "New York Giant" and "Nah!!" Neither one of these tracks is all that popping, to be honest. Hopefully Ja receives some assistance from notable contemporary producers and writers to bring him back to 100% in this modern rap ish. Video: Watch Eminem Rip Apart an 8-Minute Freestyle on Sway

Eminem recently stopped by Sway in the Morning to help promote the film Southpaw, which hits theaters tomorrow. It stars Jake Gyllenhaal and 50 Cent. It is centered around a boxer who is looking to regain his boxing skills and life after some serious pitfalls. Eminem is the curator of the film's soundtrack. Along with promoting the film Em also chatted it up with Sway and delivered a monstrous, brutal 8-minute freestyle. You can check that out after the jump because you know you wanna.
