Rapper 50 Cent recently revealed that he spends an annual $1.6 million for security. That may seem crazy to you and me, but 50 see’s it as an expense for the investment in his life. 50 says:

“My home is surrounded by cameras. I need surveillance not only to look out for me but also to protect me. You get all these crazy lawsuits, and I need cameras to check on things.”

The security system at 50′s Farmington, Connecticut estate is said to cost about $20,000 a week. However 50′s networth is somewhere near $440 million so far, so if he feels like he has to spend 1.6 of that to be safe, then so be it.

50′s new album Before I Self Destruct is also in stores tomorrow, so make sure you cop that.
