The controversial but talented Stephon Marbury made his debut for the Boston Celtics tonight, (which happens to be this writer’s hometown team) wearing the #8 jersey once worn by Antoine Walker when he donned the green way back when.
In his new bench role, “Starbury” filled up his stat sheet with eight points, one steal, and two assists in 13 minutes (not bad for someone who hasn’t played in almost two years).
Signing with the Celtics for the NBA’s veteran minimum of 1.3 million dollars (not a bad minimum!!), the former Georgia Tech standout and native of Coney Island, Brooklyn definitely has his sights set on that all-elsusive “chip” and of course thumbing his nose at his former team, the New York Knicks…
The playoffs are almost here, better start getting those office pools ready…
Marbury is from Boston too?!HAHA! OH SHIT! BOSTON is getting a dynasty up. BOSTON GOES HARDER!!!
Nah homie, Steph is from Brooklyn… But we’ll welcome him with open arms… Lol…
THAT GOOD FOR HIM….KNICKS WERE NEVER GOING TO WIN ANYWAY!!!!!
