Your boy Vanilla has a strong push. Seems that Vanilla Ice was arrested last night for domestic battery, according to Palm Beach County, Fla., sheriffs. Vanilla, aka Robert Van Winkle, is currently in police custody and is due in court today, according to Lt. Tim Temperato. Van Winkle, 40, was booked at 10:42 p.m., the sheriff’s Web site shows. On Friday, a judge "will determine if there was probable cause for the arrest," Temperato said. No further details of the arrest were available. If the judge decides the arrest was justified, Van Winkle will either be given a bond, or be released on his own recognizance. source

The label carries the brand name of Proctor & Gamble’s TAG body spray and isThe name is tied to Procter & Gamble ‘s TAG men’s deodorant and body spray. Jermaine Dupri will serve as the President. "Today, we make history in the music industry with TAG Records," Dupri said in a press release. "This label is going to provide new artists with a chance of a lifetime. New artists will receive 10 times the typical marketing support – a first in the industry. I’m hand-selecting and molding these artists to make history in hip hop." The first artist will be announced in May.

Plies, whose real name is Algernod Washington, is being sued for $10 million by five residents of Gainsville, FL. On July 2 2006 reports say that the performers entourage fired into a sold-out crowd of close to 1,000 after the rapper’s microphone was shut off to allow the next performer, Lil’ Boosie, to take the stage. "If they’re suing Mr. Washington, they’re suing the wrong person," said Plies attorney Robert Rush. "He does not have legal liability. It is not an entertainer’s job to provide security for a club where the entertainer is performing."
