By Quibian Salazar-Moreno It seems like The Game is finally tired of all the attention, beef and the hip-hop industry. The Compton emcee recently told QD3 in a video interview (which has since been removed) that he will record one more album and then he’s done with hip-hop. “Right now I’m just taking a break from hip-hop and enjoying time with my family and my friends and just readying myself for my next album, my last album,” The Game said. “I think three classic albums is good for me ya know? I got my point across; I was a prominent figure on the west coast and a big figure in hip-hop as a whole. I think I made my impact and have my name said and remembered.” A track called “My B****” recently leaked on the web, and was apparently produced by Dr. Dre and a throwaway that was supposed to be on “Doctor’s Advocate”. The song has Game going at 50 Cent, Jay-Z, Suge Knight and possibly Eminem (CLICK HERE TO LISTEN) Maybe he’s being forced out of the industry after this joint?
By Quibian Salazar-Moreno Fresh off the heels of telling everyone he wants to be a part of the solution to hip-hop and make profanity-free hip-hop, Master P has announced that his new album with his son, Romeo will drop on September 4. Yes, that is the same day 50 Cent is dropped his recently pushed back album, “Curtis.” "This record isn’t about making money,” P said in a statement. “It’s about providing a choice, changing, and hopefully saving lives. Before we condemn others for making a change, we should take a look in the mirror and ask ourselves, ‘what are we doing? Are we a part of the problem, or are we a part of the solution? Take A Stand Records, the movement." The album will feature contributions from Chamillionaire, Silkk the Shocker and other emcees who want to get down with P’s cause. All the proceeds from the album will be donated to a foundation and scholarship for underprivileged kids. P will also release his book “Guaranteed Success” on the same day.
By Quibian Salazar-Moreno It’s been a couple of years since we’ve heard from Trina. Her last album, “The Glamorest Life,” saw one hit, “Here We Go” with Kelly Rowland, and then quietly disappeared. Now Trina is gearing up to drop her new album, “The Baddest B*tch II,” on August 14 and is hoping to make a bigger impact. "I put 150 percent into this album. I’m stepping my game up like 10 notches," Trina told Billboard.com. "I have a thousand different emotions and feelings and I show it all in this project. I didn’t want to be sad, just happy and high spirited, so people can see Trina really grew up." The album features contributions from Cool & Dre, Scott Storch, Red Spyders, The Runners, Rick Ross, Trick Daddy, Plies and few surprises that she won’t reveal at the moment. The first single, “I’m Single Again,” hit radio this weekend with the second single possibly being, “I Wish I Never Met You,” which may drop around the album’s release.

By: Hot Gossip Gal Check out this face on the cover of this months Vibe…what is going on? Looks like he has a lot of issues to deal with right now. Baby Momma looking for more money, Tony Yayo accused of beating Jimmy Henchman’s son, his third album being pushed back and then of course there is that rumored 95 million four album deal with Kevin Liles over at WMG or how he is going to spend his 10% share of $4.1 billion he made on his share in Vitamin Water. How hard it is to be 50 Cent.
By: Rizoh Brandy has denied “wrongful death” charges leveled against her by the relatives of the woman who died of injuries suffered in a four-car collision that the plaintiffs claim was caused by Ms. Norwood. According to Showbiz Spy, Brandy was hit with yet another lawsuit relating to the same accident. This time, Mallory Ham—one of the survivors of the California crash—is stating that Brandy should not have been speeding in her Range Rover. Three more lawsuits have been piled up against the embattled R&B singer: one by the deceased(Aboudihaj)’s parents, one representing her two children, and another by her husband. In her latest court documents, Brandy denied the charges and asserted her Fifth Amendment privilege to not incriminate herself and requests a jury trial.
By: Rizoh Are you a fiend for shiny gloves and glittery suits? Ever dreamed of owning rhinestone-studded costumes? Make that Michael Jackson’s rhinestone-studded costumes. You (and a gazillion others) are welcome to bid on Jackson mementoes in what has been dubbed the largest auction of Jackson family memorabilia. Ever. Among the 1,000 or so items being auctioned off to the public are: a pink Mae West dress worn by an 8-year old Janet Jackson and a faded 23-year old telegram from Marlon Brando to Michael Jackson right before a show. New Jersey businessman Henry Vaccaro acquired the Jackson goodies in 2002 after a botched business venture wound up in bankruptcy court. Universal Express Inc. then paid Vaccaro $5 million for the items. Jackson dropped an effort to impede the auction two weeks ago, and opted for a confidential settlement with Universal. Wacko Jacko aficionados worldwide can bid on the goods via liveauctioneers.com and eBay’s live auction site, starting this Wednesday.
By Quibian Salazar-Moreno Foxy Brown may be in the headlines every week about some legal issue, but nowadays she’s hoping that people don’t forget she’s an artist first. In a recent interview with Billboard’s Mariel Concepcion, the rapper said that she is planning dropping her new album, Black Roses, this September. The album will feature appearances from Jay-Z, Spragga Benz, Baby Cham and few others. "No disrespect to anyone, but gear up baby, because when I come, it’s over," Brown told Billboard.com. "This album is going to be a lyrical testimony of everything I’ve gone through and survived the last couple of years. It’s just incredible." Brown said the album name was inspired by the Barrington Levy song of the same name. "Barrington told me he was inspired to write ‘Black Roses’ when he went to Africa and there, in a garden, amongst a thousand beautiful flowers, he saw one black rose that was withered and broken, and how tourists would fly in from all over the world to take pictures of it," she said. "I have to save some lives, and that’s what ‘Black Roses’ is officially for. That’s why the title is so perfect."
By Quibian Salazar-Moreno Have you ever wondered what really went down in the studio while some of your all-time favorite hip-hop tracks were being recorded? In his new book, “Check the Technique: Liner Notes for Hip-Hop Junkies”, author Brian Coleman interviews 75 artists, DJs, producers and industry insiders on what was going on when artists like Common was recording “Resurrection,” or when the Wu-Tang Clan was in the studio putting together “Enter the Wu-Tang: 36 Chambers.” "My goal with Check the Technique is to let people eavesdrop on some amazing conversations I’ve had with hip-hop legends over the years,” Coleman said. “To me, the most important thing about the book is that the facts, stories and opinions come from the artists themselves. Hip-hop artists have a certain image on video screens and in press-junket interviews, but Check the Technique does its best to strip all of that away and talk to these innovators as people, with respect and fan-fueled curiosity." The book, which hits stores on June 19, is over 500 pages long and covers more than 400 songs. Anyhow the baddest bitch was welcomed on stage and ended up cuddling and crying with her ex man on stage as the fans went wild…talk about a Hip-Hop love story. But what chick wouldn’t get emotional when serenaded with a joint like that??? SMH Russ and Kimmy are Losing it? How can you sue a magazine for a libel and look to them for a quarter of a mill and then forget to mention just what it is you are suing them for. Well thats what Russell Simmons and estranged wife Kimora are doing. They going up against the gossip magazine IN Touch but even the magazine doesn’t know why..
By: Rizoh Lady Sovereign has apologized for storming off the stage during a recent performance at Brooklyn venue Studio B. SOV, who was billed to perform a set at 1.30am following her support slot with Gwen Stefani at PNC Bank Arts Centre, came showed up two hours late at 3.30am. Her tour bus allegedly broke down. The pint-sized British rapper told shocked fans that she was only performing for financial gain as she can’t afford to pay her rent. She stormed off stage after two songs saying she didn’t care if she got paid. “I know how stupid I must have looked on Friday,” Sov said in a statement. “I was tired and not in the mood, having a bad day. But that’s no excuse for letting fans down, I’m sorry to those that were at Studio B to see me.”
By: Rizoh Imagine getting paid $10 million just to show up at a party? While many of us will be spending Memorial Day weekend with a couple of $2 dollar wines, Michael Jackson will add $10 million to his bank account without lifting a finger. The Gloved One was invited to a Prince Azim of Brunei’s 25th birthday party this weekend, according to the Mirror. A close associate of the Prince told the Mirror that “Even though Michael won’t be performing, the very fact that he’ll be in this stately home mingling with all of the Prince’s pals makes it worth every penny to Azim.” The Prince’s dad, the Sultan of Brunei, is one of the world’s richest men.
