even in this subdued version of “terrorist threat” ab-soul demonstrates why he might actually be the best lyricist in TDE. pee on your Ph.D. or your A.A. a lot of heads won’t feel him for the same reasons that they dismiss lupe: addressing complex issues, a bit abstract for the average listener. but if he ever breaks out from under the enormous shadow kendrick is casting, watch out. he’s more d-wade than scottie pippen.
