Hey Everyone,

It’s been a minute since i’ve actually had a chance to write something on here other than sales figures.  Been crazy busy recently, but I have a few thoughts about this week’s new hip-hop releases and how they sold:

1) Lil Wayne is once again leading the pack.  What’s most interesting here is that he dropped the album online (iTunes) two full weeks before physical product is becoming available.  We’re going to have to check back in to see how physical performs, but I can tell you that traditional retail is pissed.

2) Interesting to note that sales for Christian rapper Lecrae and original gangsta rapper  Ice Cube are essentially the same.  Are there just as many christian rap fans as there are gangsta rap fans?  is that possible?

that is all for now.  as usual, drop me a comment if there are any album sales you’re interested in finding out
