Taking us on a tour of New York through his eyes.

Just days removed from A$AP Ferg and MadeinTYO’s collaboration, “Wam,” the Hood Pope has already returned with a new single and accompanying visual on “Floor Seats.”

Taking the viewer through his hometown New York streets, the “Floor Seats” visual is a journey — plain and simple. With quick cuts, some jarring imagery, cool cinematic touches, this official video acts as a manifestation of Ferg himself: taking something relatively ordinary, the streets of uptown New York, and creating something extraordinary out of it; Ferg is just a kid from Harlem, but through perseverance and resolve, he’s converted his ordinary origin into an extraordinary legend.

Showing Ferg as his current self — gold-grilled and all — in his hometown environment brings this juxtaposition full-circle, and is implicitly motivational; with a vision and tenacity, anyone can transform their mundane surroundings into humble beginnings.

Oh, and the song is an absolute banger, too.

With a gritty sonic core reminiscent of the Harlem streets that raised Ferg, “Floor Seats” recruits the Hood Pope’s fiery, menacing flow to impart an invigorating track.
