It’s about time that we receive a full-length Ugly God project.

Fans fell in love with the talented, comedic rapper Ugly God in 2016 thanks to his hit record, “Water”. The beat’s simple yet catchy core, coupled with Ugly God’s ear worm repetition, introduced hip-hop to this strange, albeit endearing figure, making him an in-demand artist. In 2018, Ugly God is looking to solidify his place in the rap game by releasing three projects to his very patient fanbase.

Although he dropped off The Booty Tape in 2017, which featured a track with Wiz Khalifa, this project was simply a preview into the manifestation of a completed Ugly God body of work–it was only a mixtape, not an LP. However, it was enough to satisfy fans temporarily while amassing new ones along the way. Fortunately, Ugly God will no longer deprive his loyal followers, as he officially announced his debut album will be called Bumps & Bruises, and is slated for a 2018 release. In addition to this debut album, Ugly God is still contemplating release strategy for his EP, 777, and collaborative EP with producer Wintertime, It’s Gonna Be One Ugly Winter. But, according to him, one this is certain: all three projects will drop this year.

Regardless of what and when Ugly God delivers, his track record suggests that these projects will further contextualize his eccentric aesthetic while eliciting enjoyable music. Stay tuned for more announcements on the Ugly God project saga. Check out Ugly God’s Instagram announcement below:
