Bills Lynch FootballBuffalo Bills running back Marshawn Lynch said on Wednesday that he expects to be suspended by the NFL due to his recent run-in with the long arm of the law.

Earlier this month, the 22-year-old running back pleaded guilty to possession of a loaded firearm, and was sentenced to 36 months worth of probation.

“I got a lot of insight out of it from commissioner Goodell, and something that he stressed throughout that meeting was that he will not tolerate any more screw-ups by me, so I think that’s sinking in to me,” said the University of California, Berkeley standout.

Lynch and two other men were arrested when the police spotted them in a car with the engine still running. Upon searching the vehicle, they found four blunts and a handgun that belonged to the NFL star.

Two other misdemeanor weapons charges were dismissed against him on Thursday, but he must complete the community service by September 1st, at which time he must appear in court to show proof that he met the requirements.

This is not his first tangle with the boys in blue, as the Pro Bowler was also under investigation for a June 2008 hit-and-run as well…

You think a 5-year contract worth $19 million would make you straighten up, but it was quite obvious that the voice of commissioner Roger Goodell did the trick instead…

  1. it’s fortunate that Lynch has a Mr Goodell on his back. I hope he meant what he said about his screw-ups sinking in. It is also nice to hear that he pleaded guilty rather than making up stories of denial.
