Throughout his illustrious, magnetic career, Tyler, The Creator has seen and done a lot: He created OddFuture; he’s gone through a musical renaissance, birthing consistently more impressive work with each successive release; he beat out DJ Khaled to go No. 1 with his most recent album, IGOR. But one thing that has eluded Tyler is someone creating an official remix to one of his tracks. Now, he can add that one to his decorated list of accomplishments.
Taking the fan-favorite “EARFQUAKE” from IGOR, the Electronic whisperer Channel Tres put the ethereal track, one rooted in emotional brooding and sonic tranquility, through a dance lense. The product is a sped-up, vibey rendition that pays the original homage while imparting new life — truly, a win-win situation.
Who knows if this will open the floodgates for future Tyler remixes, but fans can rejoice for now in the updated “EARFQUAKE” courtesy of Channel Tres.
