It’s Official: Curren$y Getting That Warner Money

It’s official – Curren$y has inked a deal with Warner Music Group.  Last week, it appeared that Spitta was aligning himself with the major label, but today “the New Orleans rapper’s manager confirmed with XXL that Curren$y’s first project on [Warner Bros] will be a 10-12 song EP, completely produced by The Alchemist called Covert Coup.”

The EP is set to drop on 4/20, a date which obviously has a lot of significance to the man who’s penned such songs as “Roasted” and “Highed Up.”  Who knows if it will actually drop on 4/20 as it’s a Wednesday and the usual street date for releases is Tuesday…either way, I’m excited to see a Curren$y/Alchemist project in the works…2011=JETS, Fool…
