Huge news for the forthcoming YSIV project.

Logic began teasing his forthcoming album, YSIV, in the late August-released freestyle, “YSIV”. His second album this year, following his well-received Bobby Tarantino II, YSIV is the fourth installment of his “Young Sinatra” series, and promises to bolster an already impressive hip-hop footprint forged by the DMV artist.

Scheduled to drop Friday, September 28th, YSIV just received a jolting injection of news that hip-hop heads can rejoice over: the entire Wu-Tang clan will be featured on this project.

A student of the game, and a musical stalwart himself, Logic’s inclusion of Wu-Tang on this project is an encouraging sentiment, as this union bridges yesterday’s sound with tomorrow’s horizon, all while keeping an eye on the present. It will be transformative, hopefully. While this is undoubtedly a momentous announcement that will have rap fans giddy with excitement, it seems like Logic himself shoulders the majority of joviality.

Taking to his Instagram, the 28-year-old rapper eagerly informed fans of the pending Wu-Tang involvement, saying, “You know how you not supposed to give secrets about your album … But then you tell everybody that you have the entire Wu-Tang Clan featured on your album? You didn’t even release the tracklist, but the whole Wu-Tang, RZA, GZA, Inspectah [Deck].”

Nope, we definitely don’t need to see the tracklist to feel the ensuing greatness that will transpire on YSIV. While we gear-up for this rapidly-approaching release, enjoy logic’s revelatory “YSIV” freestyle below:
